Xerosun make a return to the gigging circuit having taken time out for studio work. We will be joined by the excellent Visitor Q http://www.myspace.com/visitorqband and Mcgalligog http://www.myspace.com/mcgalligog at Fibber Magee's, Dublin on Saturday the 20th of March. Xerosun will be playing with special guests The End Again and iBurn on the 12th of December in Fibber Mcgees. Admission is €5.00 and our debut album Absence Of Light limited edition digipak and T-shirt will be on sale at the gig.

To comemerate the launch of our debut Absence Of Light, we have updated our website. It has more features now like RSS feeds for news and gigs, a calendar to track gig dates, a new mailing list so you can be informed with the latest and greatest events.

Xerosun has been selected to be featured in alternativeaddiction.com's Next Big Thing Feature. The feature will start on 1st November 2009 and feature 8 bands and we need your vote!

Due to minor complications and logistic issues, the release date for our debut album "Absence of Light" has been changed from the 25th of September to the 31st of October.

Xerosun will be interviewed on the Culture Cafe show on Dublin City University Radio at 8.00pm on Tuesday, 27th of October.

It was a *VERY* hot night in Fibbers last night, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We would like to thank the staff at Fibber Mcgees, John the sound engineer for a great job and all the support acts for putting on a great show: Odeum, Culture Vandals and Falter Ego. Thanks also to Cormac, the man with a van for getting us to and from the venue!

Xerosun are delighted to announce that none other than Seth Siro Anton will be doing the layout and design for Absence Of Light. For those that don't know Seth's work, it can be seen on Seth's MySpace page and also on photo.net. Seth has designed covers for big acts such as Paradise Lost and Soilwork.

Xerosun will play an album preview gig in Fibber Magee's on Dublin's Parnell's Street. You will be able to hear the entire Absence Of Light album, with a few surprise songs! There will be 3 other acts, Odeum, Culture Vandals and Falter Ego.

Xerosun have recorded a new cover version of the Paradise Lost classic, 'True Belief'. The track was recorded and mixed by Mick Richards in Trackmix Studio, Blanchardstown. Big thanks to Mick for this. Mastering was handled by Richard Dowling of Wav Mastering.

Xerosun are pleased to announce that the new album will be titled, 'Absence Of light'. The final stages of sound production are nearly completed and we hope to have the album for sale on iTunes and Underground Movement website in the coming months.
