In issue 64, Black Velvet Magazine reviewed Xerosun's debut album "Absence Of Light" and awarded the debut album by the Dublin 4-piece, the maximum score of 5 out of 5.

Xerosun's Fiachra Kelly and Gareth Jeffs have signed an endorsement with Polish hand made guitar manufacturer Mayones. Both members have been long-time fans of the guitars and were delighted with the endorsement deal from the guitar manufacturer. Xerosun's debut album "Absence Of Light" was recorded using their custom Mayones 7-strings guitars.

Xerosun, Eyesclosed and Spitting Bones will take the stage of The Pint on the 8th of May for the Summer Shout event that should not be missed! The venue, the Pint is a new venue located on Eden Quay and offers some great sound, a great pint and is close to both bus and taxi ranks.

Xerosun make a return to the gigging circuit having taken time out for studio work. Album release date changed to 31st of October

It was a *VERY* hot night in Fibbers last night, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We would like to thank the staff at Fibber Mcgees, John the sound engineer for a great job and all the support acts for putting on a great show: Odeum, Culture Vandals and Falter Ego. Thanks also to Cormac, the man with a van for getting us to and from the venue!

Xerosun are delighted to announce that none other than Seth Siro Anton will be doing the layout and design for Absence Of Light. For those that don't know Seth's work, it can be seen on Seth's MySpace page and also on photo.net. Seth has designed covers for big acts such as Paradise Lost and Soilwork.

Xerosun have recorded a new cover version of the Paradise Lost classic, 'True Belief'. The track was recorded and mixed by Mick Richards in Trackmix Studio, Blanchardstown. Big thanks to Mick for this. Mastering was handled by Richard Dowling of Wav Mastering.
